The major advantage of pay per click or PPC advertising is that you can get instant results.  This is especially attractive to people who are too impatient to wait for SEO traffic.  The major downside is that you can also lose money very quickly if you don’t know what you’re doing.  This is why it’s a good idea to find a PPC coach to help you out.

Some PPC coaches will mentor you for a fee.  Others offer subscription websites that teach you PPC techniques.  The subscription route is usually cheaper because you don’t get one on one consulting.  However, you usually get help from the PPC coach or others in the forum.

The subscription route is also good for people who prefer to work at their own pace.  If you pay a coach for one on one consulting, you may feel rushed because you’re paying by the hour.  A forum allows you to take your time and work at your own pace.

Before you subscribe to any PPC coach’s services, make sure to check reviews from others who have used their services.  This is a good idea because it will ensure that the coach you’re signing up with wasn’t just a person who stumbled across a profitable campaign and then claims to be a PPC genius.  Believe me, this happens a lot. Even if the person made thousands from one campaign, he may not be able to reproduce the results.

One more thing to remember is that you will most likely lose money in the beginning.  Consider it your tuition.  As long as you have a competent coach helping you out, your profits should exceed your losses as your skills progress.
